HooverTogether began with a simple idea...
Create a lasting way to connect people in our city with the support they need—especially when it comes to mental health.
Launched through Leadership Hoover, a group of local leaders set out to identify a gap in our community. What they found was clear: many residents were struggling with emotional and mental health challenges, but didn’t know where to turn. Families, students, seniors and even small business owners expressed the same concern—resources existed, but access was confusing or limited.
HooverTogether was created to bridge that gap. We envisioned a centralized hub where individuals and families could find mental health services, crisis support and local resources all in one place. From counseling and peer support to hotlines and workshops, we aim to make it easier for people to ask for help—and receive it.
What started as a small project has grown into a citywide movement rooted in compassion, connection and the belief that mental health is a vital part of community health.
Today, HooverTogether continues to bring people, partners and resources together—so no one in Hoover has to face life’s challenges alone.
Because real healing begins when we come together.
